Sky High (Review)

I just watch Sky High in Gurney few days ago. At first, my cinema mate - Maharuddin was in between because we’re chasing time and my-debate-friend-who-Thursday-is-his-cinema-day Joe told me that it’s not that entertaining (referring to Sky High) and also it’s better for me to watch The Longest Yard instead of Sky High but Din had already watched that movie which is why I don’t really put The Longest Yard on the list. (breath)

But finally we watched Sky High, and good for me I didn’t follow Joe’s advise. Here goes the story.

WillThis is Will Stronghold. The son of the greatest superheroes. His mom and dad were very popular. But he was sent to Sky High - a school for people who superheroes ability but you are not a mutant coz if u are a mutant, you’ll be sent to X-Men Academy, duh - while he hasn’t have any superheroes ability. So the story revolve around him.

The interesting part of the movie is because it’s having a stereotype high school issue - popular and unpopular group, pom-pom girls, prom night etc; BUT with their superheroes power, everything is brought up to a new level. Here in Sky High, students will be divided into 2 groups - heroes and side-kicks. And surely the side-kicks groups are less popular as they have less ability then superheroes. They even have class studying - Languange for sidekicks - and learn to hold back a little bit when fighting villain so that superheroes could finish it and save the day. That explain why Robin (Batman) always do that, duh again.

Things that satisfy me is that Sky High provide a lot of fun and entertaining fight between the main character and the villain. Villain turn to good person and fight another new villain. So, you won’t whining up about not watching enough fight scene.

Lot of comedy and also romance were installed. It’s a great movie. I feel like watching it one more time. Well, maybe this Tuesday….
