Si Tenggang’s Homecoming

Well, this post is dedicated specially to Tahir and Chris, because they saw me typing blog and then they said, ‘You mind if I read it?‘. ‘Aah, it is in my language’. ‘So who read it?‘

‘My friends’, I answered. Then they went like, ‘aah, so we are not your friend, just your study partner…’. I know that they were kidding but hey, after a long time not typing in English, why not? Last time I wrote in my Pumpkin Race site, my sister was the one who had been correcting all of the grammar mistakes. So you think after living in English spoken country, my grammar will be better? Na ah (new way of saying ‘no’, influenced a lil bit by Friends).

I was having a big smile on my face reading what Emmy(x-USM, BATI) wrote in her comment for the previous post.

new, confident you!]. Well, I was writing about me went shopping and get a new t-shirt and jeans that was not my type.

So, attitude that goes with the outfit eh?

I was laughing now because I was thinking the same way on the bus when I came home. I always seen someone wearing nice t-shirt and it looks good on them. And sometimes I go and get the similar style, try it on but usually ending up hating them. Why does it looks good on them but not on me?

.

At least I think it that way. I still remember back then in the undergraduate years. As Malaysia is a hot country and wearing sandals to lecture is not a big problem at all. However, usually I will feel much more comfortable and happy when I wear t-shirt with collar and shoes.

I give Fariz (my ex-roommates in A-level college) my yellow/black t-shirt because I don’t feel like it looks good on me, but it looks good on him.

Outfit is your attitude !(Oh my God, I sounded like writing for fashion magazine,
probably because watching too much of Ugly Betty). It is how you potray your inner feelings. Whether you love to be seen as innocent person (that’s me), a little bit wild (please refer to Shila), charming but dangerous (tha
t is Shahrill), proper and classy (I should say Emmy got that one, and also Rahyla x-KUSTEM), stylo and rock (Nawal), proper and sweet (that goes to Najah, including Najah’s friend - Huda. Also Dani (maths USM) and Ina (x-Bio USM), whenever they feel like wearing ‘baju kurung’; Or perhaps just to be seen as ordinary people like most of us do.

Do you guys ever hear that Kelantanese man loves to wear boxer? (I suppose that girls don’t really hear that, but it is one of noticable and discussable topic in USM, at least). Like I said before, in that case they want to be seen as ordinary people.

I love to be looked differently once in a while. Like back then in A-level college, we had a Lecture Group Dinner Night and I kinda wear it a lil bit different, comb my hair straight to the back and my friend kinda said, ‘you look different. So different‘. Well, I should say that I love to get some attention once in a while but I just don’t like it for everyday life.

.

The same example goes. Back in A-level college, Zulhanita once said that she prefer the way I comb my hair straight to the back (in a whole discussion of which hairstyle is good for me?, together with other girls in my practicum group. Ouch, kinda weird eh. Ha ha), and Udy once said that it looks nice on me too.

.

But still, sometimes I don’t really like that kind of hairstyle on me. I prefer leave it with no gel, with nothing as it always keep potraying me as an innocent looking guy. At least that is what I thought, easily interpreted as ‘nerd’ and ‘geeky’ version of Am.

.

I laugh again. I was working so hard to throw away the status of ‘geek’ and ‘nerd’ after ’successfully’ get the Top 4 nomination for Geek Looking Guy (Pelajar Lelaki Skema) on that dinner night (Thanks God the award goes to my roommate Fariz!!), but still sometimes it will appear blatantly out of me. Ha ha.

I guess it is just who I am. Although recently, I goes more like messy type of guy, due to having a rough time here, I still prefer the innocent look. Actually, not because I’m so down to earth and damn good, but potraying myself that way is creating a protection bubble from the people I barely know.

Seriously. Last time I when to room of Chris’ neighbour. And I suddenly talk a lil bit obscene which I’m not use to do it except with close friends. And I feel so ashamed not just at that time but to think about it now still making me feel ashamed.

.

I smile again, after rereading Emmy’s comment. I might not be able to have the attitude with the outfit (referring to the non-nerdy type of outfit), but yeah, it is about having fun.

[P.S: Tahir and Chris, this is kind of thing I write in my blog. Sometimes I write about some deep thought (very rarely actually), but most of the time I just write whatever goes into my mind, not thinking very long about the arguement which sometimes may be right, sometimes might be wrong, but who cares? Innit?]
